The Cloisters

Located just a stone’s throw from Great Missenden’s charming High Street, The Cloisters is a stylish retirement village comprising 28, one and two bedroom apartments and 4, two bedroom cottages. Designed exclusively as homes for the over 60s, the luxury retirement homes feature an exclusive clubhouse, concierge service and Appello Safety & Wellbeing Alarm System (throughout the homes).

A new home at The Cloisters really does offer retirement living at its best. In addition to beautifully landscaped, communal gardens, the private clubhouse will provide residents here with ample opportunity to relax, socialise and to access a host of events and activities, available throughout the year.

All of the retirement homes will be highly specified throughout, with fully fitted kitchens and contemporary bathroom suites. The master bedrooms will include built-in wardrobes and underfloor heating will be included within all of the retirement apartments and to the ground floors of all the retirement cottages. There will be a lift service to all floors (for the apartments) and parking is available.

We understand that choosing to move to a retirement village is a big step and we will be there to support you every step of the way.

We offer a range of services that are designed to ease your purchase – from assisting with the sale of your existing home to offering a removals package and even a handyman service to help with all those little jobs, once you are moved into your new retirement apartment or cottage.

Assisted Move

If you have an existing property to sell, you may wish to consider our Assisted Move service. You can reserve one of our stunning new retirement homes for as little as £2,000 and we will assist you with the sale of your existing home.

Through our chosen partner Move with Us and their specialist iPX App, we can provide you with an instant guide on what price is achievable for your home. If you are happy in principle, Move with Us will then arrange three valuations of your property (you are still free to change your mind at this stage, if you wish). Once a final price is agreed with yourselves, they will appoint an agent and get your home on the market, as quickly as possible.

Move with Us will then maintain contact with the agent throughout, following up on viewings and ensuring that the agent is doing all they can to market your home to its best effect. By handling a lot of the liaison with the agent on your behalf, we can take a lot of the pressure and admin often associated with a house sale, away from yourself and your family.

What are the advantages of using our Assisted Move service?

  • We remove a lot of the stress and hassle associated with selling your home, by liaising with the agent on your behalf
  • The agents will be focused on selling your home within a set timeframe (within eight weeks), so you could be more likely to achieve a quicker sale
  • By opting for the Assisted Move service, you can reserve your chosen plot at The Cloisters, before selling your existing home
  • In the unlikely event that your home does not sell, or you choose to take it off the market, you will be entitled to a full refund of your deposit.

Part Exchange

Our part exchange service means you could be moving into one of our retirement homes, becoming part of one of our new retirement communities, sooner than you think.

If you have a property to sell, you may wish to consider our Part Exchange service. This service is designed to remove all of the stress and hassle often associated with selling your home. You will be offered a guaranteed amount for your existing home and if you chose to accept it, you can quickly move forward with the purchase of your new retirement apartment or cottage at The Cloisters.

Our dedicated Part Exchange partner Hamro will view your existing property and then make you an offer.  If you are happy to accept the offer you can then progress quickly, with the purchase of one of our apartments or cottages.

We have a range of packages available to you, from our basic bronze removal service to our gold package, which involves our expert packers packing up everything for you, transporting it safely and unpacking it in your new home.

We have partnered with the highly regarded BishopsMove to provide three removals packages:

  • Standard downsizing support, to help you de-clutter prior to your home move.
  • Post unpack following the completion of your move.

  • Enhanced downsizing support, with declutter consultant attending your home to help with the moving process which includes an all-day visit.
  • Post unpack following the completion of your move.
